Legends are stories believed to be historical that are passed down by word of mouth and are not reduced to writing until they have been known (sometimes for centuries) by great numbers of people.

What are Folktales?

Cultural beliefs, fancies, faiths, traditions or superstitions that are conveyed through the means of story are called folktales.

What is Folklore?

The immense mass of cultural and traditional beliefs, superstitions, fancies, and stories is called folklore and it is found in all parts of the world.

She has been telling stories since she was a child, when games of "let's pretend" quickly built themselves into full-length tales acted out with friends.
